Dr Raviprakash Y is a consultant for Orthopedic & Joint Replacement Surgery at People Tree Hospitals, Bangalore. He is a specialist in treating Hip and Knee diseases like Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, AVN Hip, Hip Fractures, Hip and knee Deformity.
Dr Raviprakash has been extensively trained in Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Surgeries at National and International Centers of excellence. Apart from being trained with Advanced techniques of Joint Replacement Surgery, Navigation/Computer-Assisted Surgeries and Revision Joint Replacement at the Asklepios Orthopaedic Center, Germany, he also Conferred the Prestigious SICOT Fellowship in Arthroplasty and Revision Arthroplasty in Italy.
With an indomitable passion for teaching, he involved himself in Basic Arthroplasty Courses and Saw Bone Workshops for Postgraduate students and Young Orthopedic surgeons. He was the Organizing Secretary and Conducted Conferences and CMEs- OACON 2015, OACON 2017 ( Osteo Arthritis Conference), Live Surgery Workshops March 2017.
To his credit, he has many awards including the prestigious Best Poster Award at the 13th National Congress of Indian Society of Hip & Knee Surgeons 2019 & Best Paper award at BOS meeting 2018. He has many podium presentations to his credit.
Dr Raviprakash prioritizes healing and curing diseases over everything and treats patients with the utmost care and compassion. He educates them about the disease/ treatment and involves them in the treatment.
Dr Raviprakash Y. did his undergraduate and Post-graduate training in a high volume Government Medical Institute. Post which he took up an extensive speciality training as a clinical fellow (One Year) in hip and shoulder Joint Replacement Surgery at Ganga hospitals, Coimbatore. He then went on to join PEOPLE TREE hospital as Consultant in 2014.
He has Conducted various Arthritis Camps & screening camps, Identified several needy patients and conducted Total joint replacement surgery under PeopleTree Foundation. He is an active participant in community-based projects – Arthritis camps working to spread awareness of joint diseases and Arthroplasty.
